If you're a thief in Japan you might not want to be wearing your best shirt when pulling off a job. Shop owners in that part of the world will let you have a piece of their minds before letting you slip out the front door.


They're known by foreign travelers as "orange balls" and have remained somewhat of a mystery until now. The little balls contain some kind of liquid that explodes all over the suspect instantly labeling him/her as guilty. Apparently most, if not all businesses keep them readily available should anyone decide to make a run for the money.

If this isn't a unique gadget... I don't know what is.

Nice to know this piece of info.

I never knew the Japs had balls that explode. Now It would take balls of steel to steal in Japan.

BTW I like the way you titled this article lol.

That's such a simple and great idea. Although I don't know how much good it would do for me if I owned the shop, because my aim is terrible.

I didn't watch the video before, just had a look at it now - I suspect my aim would be of a similar standard.
They'll have to come up with a homing version for those of us who are throwing-challenged!
